  • VMware推出全新虛擬化認證—VCAP

    2010年5月31日全球桌面到資料中心及雲端的虛擬化解決方案領導廠商VMware公司（NYSE 交易代碼：VMW）日前宣佈，推出一項新的認證專案——VMware認證高級專家(VMware Certified Advanced Professional，簡稱VCAP)，幫助IT專業人員拓展VMware虛擬化解決方案的知識與專長。這項高級認證將使組織機構能夠通過虛擬化改造IT環境，從而更好地從靈活、敏捷的“IT即服務”及雲端計算模式中獲取更大的價值。

    目前，全球範圍內已擁有超過5萬名VMware認證專家（VMware Certified Professional，簡稱VCP）以及約50名VMware認證設計專家（VMware Certified Design Expert，簡稱VCDX）。在這兩項認證的基礎上，VMware認證項目又增生了VCAP這一全新認證，以便對那些通過持續提高和發展掌握了更加熟練的技能、已經全面超越VCP的專家進行認證，並且還將作為獲取VCDX這一更高等級認證的重要基石。
     

    “我們希望全新的VCAP認證，能夠使更多的IT專業人員提高技能，運用先進的知識更加具有策略性地部署、管理虛擬化解決方案，幫助企業或客戶最大程度地提升價值。”VMware公司全球技術服務副總裁Enis Konuk表示，“隨著越來越多的企業急需先進的技能使自身資料中心變得更加經濟、高效，從而最大程度地提高生產力，VCAP認證的推出可謂生逢其時。”

    VCAP專案將為虛擬化合作夥伴、使用者及顧問提供了兩類專業認證。首先，VMware認證高級專家-資料中心管理(VMware Certified Advanced Professional Datacenter Administration，簡稱VCAP-DCA)將直接面向那些能夠應對大型的和/或更為複雜的虛擬環境需求、展示VMware vSphere領先技術的系統管理員、高級顧問和技術支援工程師。成功候選者應能夠採用自動化工具，規劃和設計虛擬化解決方案和管理所有的VMware vSphere Enterprise組件。

    VCAP-DCA考試將於2010年7月12日正式啟動。其次，VMware認證高級專家-資料中心設計(VMware Certified Advanced Professional Datacenter Design，簡稱VCAP-DCD)將直接面向那些具備在多網站、大型企業環境中設計VMware解決方案能力的IT架構師和諮詢架構師。成功候選者應能對VMware核心模組、儲存與網路的關聯性以及資料中心設計方法論具有深入的理解,同時，他們還應對應用和實體基礎架構以及它們與虛擬基礎架構之間的關聯性更加瞭解。VCAP-DCD考試的註冊將於2010年8月開放。有興趣參加上述兩項或其中一項VCAP考試的VCP獲得者，可以在註冊開放時參閱www.vmware.com/go/vcap報名以獲取預先通知。
     

    VMware已經設計了多個課程，幫助VCP進一步提高技能，為參加VCAP考試進行充分的準備。課程包括針對VCAP-DCA的“VMware vSphere：故障診斷[V4]”和“VMware vSphere：效能管理”，以及針對VCAP-DCD的“VMware vSphere：設計工廠[V4]”。與此同時，這些課程也將強烈推薦給那些不打算參加考試的人。

  • [分享]Windows 7 與 Windows Server 2008 應用程式相容性

    以下介紹的應用程式相容性，適用於 Windows Vista、Windows 7、Windows Server 2008、Windows Server 2008 R2，除此之外，文章中將 Windows XP 和 Windows Server 2003 視為同一相容層級的作業系統，為了避免文章太過繁瑣，所以文章中僅以 Windows XP 來代表 Windows XP 和 Windows Server 2003；而以 Windows Vista 或 Windows 7 來代表另一組作業系統。

    也就是說，本文將說明以下兩組作業系統之間的應用程式相容性差異：

    • Windows XP、Windows Server 2003
    • Windows Vista、Windows 7、Windows Server 2008、Windows Server 2008 R2

    一、應用程式相容性處理與偵錯流程

    應用程式一旦發生問題，身為開發人員與 IT 技術人員，與其怪罪硬體、作業系統、…，然後等待神蹟出現，還不如正視眼前面臨的問題，用科學的方式逐一針對所有問題與可能的原因加以分析、處理，當然要能夠解決問題，你必須充份了解到相關的知識與可以協助你的工具，就算最後必須對外求援，至少你也得清楚描述出問題的發生過程，並保留相關的錯誤訊息、記錄檔、… 等等資訊，而不是一句不負責任的「我的程式不能執行，都是 Windows 錯」就交待過去。當然，單兵作戰一定無法克服所有的困難，這時候透過社群、論壇、… 等等途徑，一方面尋求協助，一方面分享自身的處理經驗，進而提升自我的能力，我想，這才是一切的核心價值。

    二、相容性議題

    首先，筆者將針對 Windows 7 中可能會造成應用程式相容性問題的內容，逐一條列出來，並加以詳細的解譯其發生的原因，以及因應之道。

    1. 使用者帳戶控制 (User Account Control, UAC)

    4. 服務隔離 (Service Isolation)

    5. 網路

    三、有那些偵錯工具

    接下來筆者介紹一下常用的測試工具，這些工具在使用上並不會太複雜，卻可以針對應用程式相容性上提出可靠的建議，可以讓我們了解到應用程式中那些地方是不相容的，以及該如何進行處理。

    四、結論

    其實每次新版本的作業系統上市，多多少少會因為新功能或安全性 (例如 UAC) 的考量，而造成應用程式在新的作業系統上出現相容性的問題，不過在替你的應用程式宣判死刑之前，不妨試著按照本篇文章的介紹，逐一檢視一下你的應用程式，並且使用系統內建的相容性設定，以及各類型相容性工具來進行處理，相信可以解決 80% 以上的應用程式相容性問題，如果還無法解決，至少你可以知道問題出在那邊，在修改應用程式原始碼時也比較容易找到正確的位置，採取「拖」字訣或許是一種解決方案，但是身為開發人員或 IT 技術人員，正面的面對問題、分析問題、解決問題，才是最好的解決方案 ，不是嗎？
