  • 思科CCIE Storage於7月推新版網路儲存證照

    隨著思科推出新款思科MDS 9000光纖通道交換器後，思科也在今年7月升級原本的SAN CCIE Storage認證。

    晨宇資訊資深顧問劉順誠，是目前亞洲少數已經取得SAN CCIE Storage認證，並能夠教授該認證課程的講師。他表示，SAN CCIE Storage是一個針對思科儲存光纖通道交換器系列產品MDS推出的高階專業認證。劉順誠表示，這一次升級認證的主要原因，除了是配合思科儲存光纖通道交換器MDS 9000的推出，更重要的原因是，舊版SAN CCIE Storage考試內容中，還以舊版SAN光纖通道交換器作業系統SAN-OS 1.3版為主，「但目前作業系統都已經升級到3.2版了。」他說。

    因為使用舊版作業系統作為認證內容，會造成考試和實際操作有很大的落差。所以思科在今年4月，推出以新版SAN交換器作業系統和新款交換器產品MDS 9000為主的SAN CCIE Storage Beta版認證考試，並於今年7月正式推出新版考試。劉順誠說，新推出的MDS 9000產品型號沒變，但是該款儲存光纖通道交換器則多了一些新功能和新模組，例如，支援iSCSI通訊協定。

    劉順誠指出，目前全世界擁有SAN CCIE Storage認證的人數不超過140名，主要的原因在於，企業對思科MDS 9000光纖通道交換器的接受度還不高，也使得這樣的高階網路儲存認證，缺乏足夠吸引IT人考試的誘因。不過，「隨著思科今年揭櫫的Data Center 3.0願景的規畫與部署，未來MDS 9000在企業的應用與接受程度可望普及。」他說。因此，他認為有志於了解儲存產品的IT人，可以考慮考一張SAN CCIE Storage認證。

    不過，這張儲存認證是思科高階CCIE的認證考試，劉順誠表示，思科在相關考試的安排上，除了必須要取得基本CCNA的認證之外，在沒有專業級的儲存認證考試的前提下，要從只有CCNA認證的能力，就直接考取SAN CCIE Storage高階儲存認證，難度很高。他建議，「要考取相關儲存認證的IT人，最好具備機房和操作、管理儲存產品的工作經驗為佳，另外，也可以先取得思科儲存網路支援專員（CSNSS）和思科儲存網路設計專員（CSNDS）等2張儲存認證。」

    CCIE的認證考試，通常都包含筆試和上機考試兩種。劉順誠表示，筆試是2個小時的複選題，考題內容分配很平均，要通過考試必須了解MDS所支援的各種功能、通訊協定，也必須熟悉伺服器和儲存系統的功能。至於上機考試則需要費時1天8小時，主要考試內容都必須實際操作和配置、部署MDS和其他如Brocade、McData的儲存光纖通道交換器、網路交換器、路由器等。此外，也必須兼顧包括通訊埠（Port）安全、QoS等儲存和網路設備的平衡部署。但劉順誠說，「目前舉行SAN CCIE Storage上機考試的地方只有美國和比利時布魯塞爾，這也讓考取SAN CCIE Storage的難度增高。」

  • 參加舊版CCNP考試只考一半，如何升級到新版CCNP？

    如果你準備考CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)證照，如果你在7月31日仍然沒有完成所有考試或者僅僅考了其中幾科，那麼別擔心下面我將告訴大家如何升級新版的CCNP。

    舊版CCNP系列考試已經在2010年7月31日停止考試：642-812（BCMSN）、642-825（ISCW）、642-845（ONT）、642-901（ BSCI）、642-892 （Composite）。8月1日以後都必須參加新版考試 642-902  (ROUTE)、 642-813  (SWITCH) 和 642-832 (TSHOOT) 三科新版考試。

    如果你在7月31日前通過 642-892（Composite）或 642-901（BSCI），642-812（BCMSN），但還沒通過642-825 （ISCW）或者 642-845（ONT）那麼現在你只需補考一科642-832（TSHOOT ）。

    如果你在7月31日前通過642-825 （ISCW）、 642-845（ONT）和  642-901（BSCI）或者 642-812（BCMSN）通過了其中一科考試，那麼你需要補考剩下的哪一科替代的新版考試。例： 替代 642-901（BSCI)是642-902 （ROUTE） ，替代 642-813(BCMSN)是642-813 （SWITCH）。

    我已經收集很多關於CCNP認證資訊，目前還有很多考生不知道如何準備考CCNP，繼續考舊版還等新版考試？舊版NP考試與新版NP考試有什麽區別，如果未完成考試以後如何補考新版CCNP考試？

    下面我在部落格回答您的所有問題，首先我們看一篇來自網絡一篇新版考試方式的建議（某位CCIE大師的文章）：

    CCNP 最近剛好在改版. 自2010年8月1日起, 新版的改成一共三科:

    • 642-902  ROUTE   (相當於 642-901 BSCI)
    • 642-813  SWITCH (相當於 642-812 BCMSN)
    • 642-832  TSHOOT (相當於 642-892 Composite)

    舊版的 ISCW 和 ONT 即使已經通過的話, 也只保留到今年2010年7月31日. 超過這個時間以後, 只有 BSCI 和 BCMSN 兩科通過的結果可以保留.
    從考試費用來看, 目前的舊版 BSCI, BCMSN, ISCW, ONT 每科考試需要美金 150 元, 所以一切順利的話, 舊版取得 CCNP 需要花美金 600 元.

    新版的 CCNP 當中, ROUTE, SWITCH, TSHOOT 每科考試需要美金 200 元, 一切順利的話, 全部費用跟舊版一樣, 一共也是美金 600 元.

    這時就讓我想到, 如果趕在今年2010年7月31日前先通過 BSCI 和 BCMSN, 然後再慢慢準備 TSHOOT, 總費用來看竟然是最少的: 一共只要美金 500 元!

  • Cisco新版CCNP 642-832（ TSHOOT ）考試介紹

    CCNP認證改版：在2010年4月26日前預約過舊版的NP考試的需要在2010年7月31日前考掉，舊版考試642-901（BSCI），642-812（BCMSN）和642-892（Composite 綜合）的成績在7月31號以後也持續有效，是642-825 （ISCW）和642-845（ONT） 在7月31日後此兩科無效，必須要考TSH007 （新版的CCNP考試）CCNP Exams Recommended Training

  • Cisco最新消息：舊版CCNP注冊考試截至時間7月31日

    近日思科在其官方網站聲明，為了保障考生的利益，舊版CCNP考試截至注冊日期由6月7日推遲到7月31日，考生在此之前注冊的考試科目，允許在45天內參加考試。（2010年思科新版CCNP介紹）

    新版CCNP認證考試：：642-902、642-813和642-832

    過渡期依然可以參加舊版CCNP考試，新版CCNP642-832正在測試階段！在2010年4月26日前預約過舊版的NP考試的需要在2010年7月31日前考掉，新版NP 主要是ISCW和ONT 在7月31日後此兩科無效，必須要考TSH007 （新版的CCNP考試）CCNP Exams Recommended Training
